Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Capsule Labs LLC, doing business as Open Internet ("Open Internet", "we"), collects, uses and protects information. It covers this website, the nexus platform at nexus.openinternet.cc, our connectivity service, and the internal tools we use to run the business.
Information we collect
- Business contact details you give us when you ask about service, become a customer or are added as a user: names, work email addresses, phone numbers and site addresses.
- Service data about the lines and devices we provide: line identifiers, status, usage, diagnostics and the device or approximate location data reported by the carrier or the equipment. We use it to deliver, monitor and support the service.
- Account and billing records for the service, such as plans, invoices and payment status. Card payments for legacy memberships are processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
- Financial account data received through Plaid. We use Plaid Inc. to connect our company's bank and card accounts, and those of our owner and his other businesses, to our internal bookkeeping system. Plaid provides read-only balances and transactions for those accounts. We do not use Plaid to collect data from customers or website visitors. Plaid's handling of data is described in the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- Website visits. This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser details to deliver them. Our web server keeps standard access logs for security.
How we use information
- To provide, monitor, support and bill the connectivity service and the nexus platform.
- To answer inquiries and communicate with customers about their service.
- To keep our books, meet tax and accounting obligations, and plan our finances. This is the only use of data received through Plaid.
- To secure our systems, prevent abuse and comply with law.
How we share information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share information only:
- with service providers that operate parts of our business for us: carriers, hosting, email, payments and Plaid. They may use it only to provide their services;
- with a customer's own authorized users, for that customer's lines and sites;
- when required by law or to protect our rights and the security of our service;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Security
Our systems sit behind private networks and default-deny firewalls. We encrypt data in transit with TLS, encrypt financial data at rest, require multi-factor authentication for administrative access, and give access only to the people who need it.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above. Financial records, including transactions received through Plaid, are kept seven years to meet tax and accounting requirements and then deleted. When a bank connection is no longer needed, we revoke it at Plaid. Service data is kept for the life of the customer relationship plus any period the law or our agreements require.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete information about you, or to stop non-essential communications, by emailing glenn@openinternet.cc. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law. Some records must be kept for legal, tax or contractual reasons.
Children
Our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be posted here.
